Recent changes in detailed procedures in law have been occurring in a constant manner that indicates the pressing need for the people of Myanmar to be duly informed of such changes. Receiving the same insights from our members, FMCCI will be holding an evening newsworthy session physically with this particular topic “Myanmar Legal & Regulatory Update”, in collaboration with one of our members from the Legal Sector, KST Legal.
This session will include a brief explanation of the overall changes in Myanmar law that took place within the time frame of April 2022 to the present, including how those changes have impacted the country, most importantly, the economic sector of the country. The session will be addressing some observable modifications made to banking, finance, corporate and other related areas, which, once overlooked, can bring unwanted troubles to entrepreneurs and stakeholders.

Partner – Sa Sa Nyunt
Sa Sa Nyunt is a founder and managing partner of KST Legal Law Firm. Before he started KST Legal, he worked in prominent international law firms and other local law firms. He is also a visiting lecturer at Matrix Institute of Professionals. He obtained his Ph.D. in relating to Corporate Tax Laws. His key practice areas are Banking and Finance, Merger & Acquisition and Technology. During 12 years of his experiences as a lawyer, he has participated in several law drafting teams and also experienced and advised in Cross-Border Loan of International Bank, Debt Restructuring of leading local bank, acquisition of local leading consumer company by Multinational Consumer Company, etc.
Associate – Ei Mon Theint
Ei Mon Theint is an associate at KST Legal. She graduated from the University of Yangon and pursuing a Master’s degree with specialized in commercial law. Before joining KST Legal, she worked as a para-legal and an apprentice in both local and foreign law firms. She started her career as a legal associate and has around three years of experience in the debt restructuring process, assets management transaction, acquisition process, due diligence process, legal compliance matter and other legal works such as drafting and reviewing a variety of contracts for both local and foreign clients.
