AccorHotels has launched the first Grand Mercure branded hotel in Myanmar. Overlooking the Schwedagon Pagoda, Grand Mercure Yangon Golden Empire features 175 guestrooms and suites designed by local artist Pyar Dade.
Its F&B outlets include Flavours serving international and Asian cuisine, Mahura Deli serving cakes, pastries, gourmet coffees, teas or a glass of wine and the Ken Pool bar serving light snacks, finger foods and cocktails.
Additionally, the hotel also offers two ballrooms, a pre-event function area and seven meeting rooms for large and small gatherings.
Patrick Basset, chief operating officer of AccorHotels, Upper Southeast, Northeast Asia and the Maldives said, “This is our first Grand Mercure in Myanmar and the opening of Grand Mercure Yangon Golden Empire encapsulates the cultural touchstone of the destination and heritage in bringing local stories to life.”
